Easy Fall Decor Ideas

Now that September is more than halfway done, I unboxed my fall decor and decorated my house this week. Here are my some of my favorite fall decor ideas for getting your home ready for the new season.

Wreaths

The first thing I love to unpack is a beautiful autumn wreath. I have an older one that has leaves and gorgeous fall colors and every year I look forward to hanging on my front door. I think it really sets the tone because it’s the first thing guests see when they enter your home. Target has this large wreath with orange leaves.

Candles

There is something so fun about pulling out the fall candles or buying a few news ones for the home. I love a good pumpkin candle or an apple spice to make the house smell amazing. This harvest spice one from the Hearth & Hand smells good and comes is a beautiful speckled ceramic jar. I have also heard good reviews about this Crisp Apple candle and this Pumpkin Spice candle from Ulta. Target has some pretty pumpkin shaped glass ones such has this one.

Pumpkin Decor

I love to put a few decorative pumpkins around the house especially in the kitchen, on the dining room table or on the mantle. I like neutral color glass or ceramic pumpkins. Some pretty straw or woven ones looks nice too for some textural contrast. This one is cute and affordable.

Lantern

Next, I like to display a metal lantern with a candle inside. This is a great piece of decor that is multi-purpose as you can change out the candles inside each season to match or coordinate with your decor. I like a black or matte gold metal ones. Target has some in various sizes and finishes. These three are my favorites: a larger black metal one, a smaller black metal one and a gold one.

Candy Dish

Setting out a glass candy dish especially when it is shaped as a pumpkin, really sets a the autumn tone. This simple clear one is beautiful and this black pumpkin is a fun choice too. These cute pumpkin Dove chocolates would go great with the candy dishes.

Snacks

Lastly, this is the season to shop for some yummy fall treats or candies. Even since I was a kid, I have enjoyed the Brach’s Autumn Mix, which is perfect for the clear glass candy dish. Also, some fun Halloween Oreos would look good in the candy dish and are always a popular household treat. This time of year, I enjoy my favorite cinnamon tea.

I hope this blog was useful as we transition into the next season, and I hope you have fun unpacking your fall decor and buying a few new items for your home. I hope you have a lovely week.
