Favorite Family Board Games
Our family enjoys a good board game! It’s a great way to the get the kids away from their screens too. Here are some fun board games that are enjoyable for younger kids!
The Game of Life
This is a fun game for the whole family. There are life choices to make, money to handle and it only takes about 30-60 minutes to play, depending on the number of players. It is fairly easy to set up and understand for younger children. I think this is a great pre-game to Monopoly, which I think is better for older children.
Yeti In My Spaghetti
This game is simple and appropriate for ages 3 and up. You can set this game up in a snap, and the kids enjoy playing on their own, too. They can clean it up quickly as well. Yeti helps with creative thinking and motor skills.
Zingo! Bingo With A Zing
My kids love this game. Children learn how to read simple words while playing bingo. The game boards are two sided. One side is easier than the other. This game is perfect for ages 4 and up and teaches memory and language skills.
Uno
Uno is a well loved game in our house. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid, so of course I had to share the game with my kids! The rules are easy to understand and the whole family can enjoy. There are many different versions as well, such as Disney Princess, Hot Wheels and Uno All Wild.
The Crazy Cube Game
This game is a perfect matching game for two kids to enjoy. It’s easy to understand and appropriate for kids age 4 and up. The pieces are stored inside the case to make for easy set up and clean up. The Crazy Cube Game comes in different versions, from Pixar Characters to Disney Princesses and many others in between.
Candy Land
Now this is the first board game my children started to enjoy, and we started playing as a whole family. This childhood classic is easy to understand and play and perfect for kids ages 3 and up.
I hope this inspires you to get our some of your family’s board games or to try a new game with your children or grandchildren. Have a lovely week!
