5 Minute Face For The Busy Mom

Now that school is back in session, moms are in a huge hurry in the morning. Here is a quick 5 minute minute face for busy moms with drugstore products (mostly!). Hope this helps you get out the door faster in the morning.

Complexion Products

After I apply my sunscreen, I use a quick tinted skin veil by Wet n Wild. This will even out my face quickly and provides buildable coverage. There are several shade choices, and I prefer to use my fingers or a brush for this. Next, I add some concealer. A great drug store option is from E.L.F called the Hydrating Camo Concealer. It comes in 24 shade options and does a decent job covering up any dark circles or redness on your face. Finally, I set with a little powder. My favorite is 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation Powder by L’Oreal Paris. I like this with a small brush or damp sponge. Also, to note this is great for the face but I don’t recommend for under the eyes to set your concealer. For that I prefer the LYS powder which is technically not drugstore but priced similarly. Especially, since some drugstore brands are hitting the $15-20 price point. The LYS Triple Fix Translucent Pressed Setting Powder sets your makeup, blurs pores and is light weight in my opinion. That’s why I like it for under the eyes or the whole face. Currently, it is sold out on the LYS website and Sephora’s website but you can sign up for restocks.

Next, I like to add a little blush and if time allows bronzer. A quick and beautiful blush is Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blush. It comes in four beautiful colors and is lightweight and easy to blend. My favorite color is nude kiss. After that, for a quick bronzer, I like Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer. It is long wearing and easy to blend for those in a hurry mornings.

Eyes & Eyebrows

As you can see in my 5 minute face, I really focus on the complexion. I usually will keep the eye makeup minimal. I like to use a brow gel and the Brow Wow by E.L.F. is great for a fast and easy eyebrow look. It comes in 4 colors and provides hold, volume and color to your brows. Next is mascara, at the drugstore I like mascara by Essence called Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara. It provides length and volume all for under five dollars.

Lips

As for lips, I usually keep one or two options in my purse so I can apply in the car if needed. Lips are a matter of preference for sure. So I am going to suggest a few options. If you like a quick and easy and gloss to finish off your 5 minute face then I would suggest the Maybelline Lifter Lip Gloss. It provides moisture and a lovely shine. My favorite colors are Topaz and Moon. If you prefer a long lasting lip then try the Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon Lipstick. These lip crayons are long lasting yet comfortable. My current favorite colors are Enjoy The View and Break The Ceiling. Lastly, if you a classic lipstick person then my favorites at the drugstore are by Milani. They are called Milani Color Fetish Matte Lip Makeup (The Flora Collection). There are some beautiful shades in this collection with Petal and Peony being my favorites. These lipsticks are comfortable to wear and have a velvet matte finish.
