Hocus Pocus Party Ideas For The Whole Family

Amok, amok, amok! Hocus Pocus 2 just came out, and my family was super excited. We have a fun family party complete with Halloween themed food. Here’s some ideas for your family if you want to have your own Hocus Pocus Party:

Mummy Dogs

This is a fun recipe for a Hocus Pocus party or just for the month of Halloween. All you need is hot dogs, crescent roll, cheese and mustard. This is an easy recipe that the kids can help with too. Here is the recipe we always use.

Spooky Popcorn

Another snack idea for your Hocus Pocus or Halloween party is spooky popcorn. There are a couple variations on this idea. You can do popcorn with eyeball gummies, so it can look like the eye on The Book from the Hocus Pocus movie. Or use gummy fingers or spiders to mix with the popcorn. This is so easy to make too that the kids will love helping with it and eating it!

Cookies

After a salty treat like popcorn, cookies are a must. You can keep it easy and grab some cute Halloween cookies that are ready to bake from the refrigeration section of the grocery store. Our favorites are the pumpkin ones from Pillsbury. If you enjoy making homemade sugar cookies, then some black cat ones could be cute or some spiders ones too. Or make some cookies decorated with the black flame candle.

Brownies Or Cupcakes

If your family prefers brownies or cupcakes over cookies, then you can let your creative baking skills shine. You can cut out the brownies to look like The Book from Hocus Pocus and use white icing to decorate it. Or if your children are younger, then let them decorate their brownie with some gummy spiders or candy corn.

Banana Ghosts

This is so simple, and the kids love helping making these banana ghosts. All you have to do is peel some bananas and cut them in half. Then grab 3 chocolate chips and press into the banana to make ghost eyes and ghost mouth. So cute and a healthier treat for a Halloween themed party or movie night.

Other Halloween Food Ideas

Some other ideas for your Hocus Pocus viewing party are caramel apples, Halloween Oreos, roasted pumpkin seeds, or some homemade caramel popcorn.

Decorations

For a small family Hocus Pocus party, I would do just a few decorations. Try a cute Halloween banner and some spider webs. Grab some Halloween themed plates, napkins and cups to make the celebration more festive too.

I hope you got some ideas or inspiration for your own Hocus Pocus or Halloween family party. I think what I like so much about the month of October is that my own children get so excited about all the fun and spooky Halloween activities. Their enthusiasm is contagious! I hope you have a lovely week and get to watch Hocus Pocus 2 with your own family or friends.
