Christmas Family Movie Night
December has begun with all its busyness and anticipation of the coming holidays. With all the events and parties, it’s nice to slow down and enjoy a Christmas movie night. Here are some ideas to plan a fun movie night!
Cozy Setting
First, set the scene for a cozy movie night by gathering some comfortable blankets for the couch. Walmart has my current favorite one. Of course, everyone should put on their favorite festive pajamas. Children’s Place has some cute ones to match the whole family. Once blankets and PJs are taken care of turn off the big lights and put on some lamps; if you have a fire place light the fireplace to create that relaxing atmosphere
Snacks
You will definitely want to plan and prepare some delicious snacks for the whole family. Popcorn is always a classic choice. Enjoy some homemade or prepackaged holiday cookies! Another great idea is to set up a cocoa bar. Buy one or two of your favorite hot chocolate mixes, marshmallows, crushed peppermint, sprinkles and whipped cream. This will be such a hit in your household!
Favorite Movies
We have so many favorites, it is hard to pick just one! We enjoy watching Elf each year as a family tradition. Other good options are Home Alone or The Santa Claus. My kids like the Christmas Chronicles movies as well. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with A Charlie Brown Christmas!
I hope you enjoy the holiday season and have a memorable movie night with your family. Have a lovely week!
